Purpose:

The Processing Line Worker is responsible for performing various tasks along the fish processing line to support the safe, efficient, and timely preparation of seafood products. This role contributes directly to production targets while maintaining quality, food safety, and workplace safety standards.

Duties:

·        Perform manual processing tasks on the production line, including weighing, packing, and labeling fish products

·        Inspect products for quality, size, and defects in accordance with company and regulatory standards

·        Operate basic processing equipment and tools as required

·        Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment following sanitation and food safety procedures

·        Follow all health, safety, and food safety policies, including use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)

·        Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals

·        Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

·        No formal education required

·        Previous experience in food processing or manufacturing is an asset but not required; training will be provided

·        Ability to follow instructions, policies, and safety procedures

·        Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

·        Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Working Conditions and Physical Capacities:

·        Work is performed in a fish processing plant environment

·        Cold, wet, hot and damp conditions may be present

·        Repetitive tasks and fast-paced production line work

·        Shift work may be required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime depending on production needs

·        Standing for extended periods of time

·        Repetitive hand and arm movements

·        Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

·        Overtime rates of 1.5x after 40 hours worked in a single week.
