Fraudulent Job Posting Policy

Purpose

Untapped Talent is committed to providing a safe and trustworthy platform for job seekers and employers. This policy outlines our approach to identifying, reporting, and removing fraudulent job postings in compliance with Ontario’s Employment Standards Act (Bill 30).

Scope

This policy applies to all publicly advertised job postings on Untapped Talent.

Definition of Fraudulent Job Posting

A fraudulent job posting includes any listing that is false, misleading, or intended to deceive job seekers, including but not limited to:

  • Non-existent positions
  • Requests for payment or financial information
  • Misrepresentation of employer identity or job details

Reporting Mechanism

Users can report suspected fraudulent postings by:

  • Clicking the “Report as Spam” button on the job posting page.
  • Submitting it through the “Contact Us” form on Untapped Talent.
  • Emailing spamjobpostings@ccrw.org

Investigation Process

  • Reports are reviewed within 2 business days.
  • Verified fraudulent postings will be removed immediately.
  • Employers responsible for fraudulent postings may be suspended or banned.

User Protection

We will never ask job seekers for payment or sensitive personal information beyond what is required for job applications.

Retention

This policy and all previous versions will be retained for three years after expiry.
