Do these employers go through a screening process to post on Untapped Talent?

Job postings can land on Untapped Talent in a variety of ways. If an employer registers for Untapped Talent, they indicate that they have worked with a disability organization, have past experience hiring and retaining people with disabilities, or have done disability inclusion training at all levels of their organization. Some job postings may be posted on behalf of an employer from a community organization that supports disability inclusion and supports the employer. Other job postings are pulled onto Untapped Talent from the Canada Job Bank; only job postings from Canada Job Bank where the employer indicated they are inclusive of people with disabilities are pulled.

I saw a job posting with a "Committed to Disability Confidence" digital badge or a "Disability Confident Employer" digital badge, what does this mean?

A job posting with a "Committed to Disability Confidence" digital badge indicates that they are actively working with Untapped Talent to be an inclusive employer. A job posting with a "Disability Confident Employer" digital badge indicates that they actively work with Untapped Talent and they scored higher than 80% on our assessment tool, AccessPath. Both digital badges are an indication that these employers are committed to inclusion.

Why do I have to go to Canada Job Bank to view some job postings?

Canada Job Bank offers employers the opportunity to indicate if they are inclusive of people with disabilities. Any employers who do this, we pull their job posting from Canada Job Bank and share it to Untapped Talent. Unfortunately the flow of data does not allow us to pull the full job posting so we have to redirect people to the original posting on Canada Job Bank.

A job posting has a digital badge that indicates the job posting was posted on behalf of an employer. What does this mean?

Partner organizations who work closely with employers have the opportunity to post a job posting on behalf of an employer. This means that the employer did not post the job posting directly but they trusted the partner organization to do it. These job postings also include contact information for the partner organization so that you can ask more questions.
